Account Executive II

Job Summary

The Account Executive II contributes to the achievement of short and long-term department/corporate goals including increasing revenues by promoting, selling, and renewing the appropriate products and services of Adeptec in the mid to enterprise-sized market segment. Incumbents ensure the preparation and presentation of professional and comprehensive proposals and renewals including analysis of financial information and company specific data to negotiate between vendors/accounts and arrange to provide servicing and resolve issues and concerns for new and assigned accounts, and provide educational information to vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

1. Prospect and sell new customers the products and/or services of Adeptec.

2. Prepare account specific renewal strategy including options and service enhancements to renew accounts on a sound financial basis.

3. Collect and analyze relevant data to prepare, implement and monitor annual sales and renewal plan for assigned territory and book of business.

4. Cultivate strong working relationships with contacts for assigned accounts.

5. Participate in directing and training account coordinators and sales associates and coordinate with internal departments to assure that appropriate service is provided to assigned accounts and vendors.

6. Responsible for sales, service, and renewal activity and communication needed to maintain the assigned block of business, including education of vendors and customers regarding applicable products and services.

7. Complete special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. College degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.

2. Demonstrated familiarity with software sales and 2 years recent technical sales and/or sales related experience in the software industry.

3. Five years relevant and technical sales experience.

4. Five years of experience selling SolarWinds IT management software and monitoring tools.

5. Proven sales/service experience with software sales in IT industry.

6. Experience making presentations, with effective written and verbal communication skills.

7. Demonstrated project management skills with ability to organize and prioritize work.

8. Strong human relations skills including ability to influence internal and external contacts when they are likely to disagree.

9. Substantial knowledge of routine and non-routine sales and renewal process.

10. Excellent customer service skills and ability to excel as the member of a team.
