Account Executive I

Job Summary

The Account Executive I promotes and sells the appropriate products and services of Adeptec in the small business market segment. Incumbents prospect for new customers, sell new business, renew and retain accounts, sell additional lines to existing customers, arrange to provide servicing, resolve issues and concerns, and provide educational information to vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

1. Sells new customers the products and/or services of Adeptec.

2. Renews and retains the business of assigned accounts.

3. Collects and analyzes relevant data to prepare, implement and monitor annual sales and renewal plan for assigned territory and book of business.

4. Cultivates strong working relationships with assigned vendors.

5. Participates in directing and training sales representatives and sales associates to assure that appropriate service is provided to assigned accounts.

6. Responsible for sales, service, and renewal activity and communication needed to maintain the assigned block of business, including education of customers regarding applicable products and services.

Minimum Qualifications

1. College degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.

2. Demonstrated familiarity with software sales and 2 years recent technical sales and/or sales related experience in the software industry.

3. Experience selling SolarWinds IT management software and monitoring tools (Preferred).

4. Experience making presentations, with effective written and verbal communication skills.

5. Demonstrated project management skills with ability to organize and prioritize work.

6. Strong human relations skills including ability to influence internal and external contacts when they are likely to disagree.

7. Substantial knowledge of routine and non-routine sales and renewal process.

8. Excellent customer service skills and ability to excel as the member of a team.
